DO I GET A REFUND IF I CANCEL MY SHANGHAI RACE CLUB MEMBERSHIP?
Yes. You need to contact our support team and give 30 days notice. At the end of this notice period you will receive the outstanding proportion of your membership fee using the same method of payment you used to pay.
IF I AM NOT AN OWNER OF A RACEHORSE CAN I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SHANGHAI RACE CLUB?
Yes. As a Shanghai Race Club member you have full access to our support team and services to assist you in understanding how to become an experienced racehorse owner. Should you be interested in going on to purchase one of the available racehorse featured on paoma.com the support team will also assist you in the transaction.
WHICH MEMBERSHIP LEVEL SHOULD I BUY?
You should start with a silver membership, which permits you to become a part owner of any of the racehorses available for purchase (up to GBP170,000/CNY1,700,000) on Paoma.com. Once you have become an experienced owner you may want to upgrade to Gold membership which permits to become the full owner of any racehorse available for purchase (up to value of GBP1,700,000/CNY17,000,000) on paoma.com.

IS THERE A RACECOURSE IN SHANGHAI?
No. The original racecourses were all closed down in the 1940′s. The closest two racecourses are in Nanjing and Nine Dragon Hills (Hangzhou Bay). The Chairmen of these race courses are members of The Shanghai Race Club.
WHAT IS PAOMA.COM?

Pao Ma is the romanized spelling of the Chinese characters “Race Horse”.

IS HORSE RACING LEGAL IN MAINLAND CHINA?
Yes at licensed racecourses. Owning a racehorse is also perfectly legal.

The Shanghai Race Club (in Chinese pinyin; Shanghai Pao Ma Zong Hui) provides an online service for people in Mainland China looking for a simple way to purchase and and enjoy the pleasure of owning the finest racehorses in Europe.
Ingenious use of internet technology (www.paoma.com) and an alignment with racing industry leaders in Great Britain and Mainland China has made it possible for Shanghai Race Club members to enjoy direct reports (using online video, photo and text) on the training of their privately owned race horses, and online access to watch their the horses compete at racecourses across Europe.
Established in 1862, The Shanghai Race Club is one of the oldest horse racing club’s in Asia. The Club was revived in 2008 by current Chairman, Byron Constable, from England. Constable, a fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker built his career around directing the strategies for some of Mainland China’s largest online shopping and entertainment clubs. Constable now leads the strategy and team behind the renewed fame of The Shanghai Race Club.
